Didn't like the ride when set to Subaru recommendation on tire pressure. Bumped both front and rear up by 3 lbs. Fronts at 35psi and Rears at 34psi.

Anyone else have any recommendations or set the pressure other than the what Subaru recommends?

If you're running +3 lbs, I think you should be at front 35psi, rear 33psi. The recommended spec is ∆ 2psi front to rear.

I sometimes run +4psi for long distance freeway drives. Much higher than that and the rear end starts to bounce a bit.

I run 32 front, 30 rear on my Type 25, which seems to suit bad road surfaces in the UK.
I have noticed over the years that Subarus (BH Outback H6, GC Impreza) tend to be sensitive to rear tyre pressures.
