What do a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette and a 2015 Toyota Camry have in common? Not much, actually. Then again, they're not as different as you think.

The Camry is much faster. If it was an SE or XSE V6, some of the softness and sloppiness goes away.

An even more interesting comparison would be with a C7 Vette (base model to match the mild 327). It'd be even more of a quantum leap in perfomance with not a large penalty in visceral thrills.

    Great video!

I knew the Camry would be faster in all regards. However, I was surprised at how slow the Corvette is, age has caught up, I suspect.

I really enjoyed watching the Vette slide around the track. The smile on his face was priceless!

So, did anything on the Vette break?

Why did you fail to mention the Camry was faster around the track, too? Is the Corvette more fun? Of course, was there any doubt? While I guess I understand the 'drive it like it was in the good old days' idea, if it was me I'd be updating the brakes/wheels/tires/shocks, put all the old parts in a box, and enjoy it even more.

The Camry would be a very unsafe car for me, as I'd almost certainly die- of boredom...
