You missed a lot of cars that deserved to be on this list. Where is the Cadillac from Ghostbusters?

And where are the cars from the Cannonball Run movies?

I'm a little surprised not to see the Camaro from "Smokey and the Bandit" on your list. Or did you consider that movie more of an adventure yarn than a comedy?

Darthbimmer, the featured car in Smokey and the Bandit was a 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Special Edition, not a Camaro. That noted, the reason it's omitted is that the more we considered it the more we were convinced it was heroic rather than comedic. And that's the sort of distinction that gets made in putting together these lists.

No Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? C'mon Dick Van [non-permissible content removed] built that out of a boat and a boiler in a barn next to his windmill! And it could fly!
And score chicks called Truly Scrumptious..

Ok, I think it's hilarious that Edmund's obscenity filter removed Dick Van D's last name!

No Ferris Bueller & the Ferrari?

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was omitted for two reasons. First the film is more a musical and fantasy than a comedy. And second, I hate the movie with a seething passion.

jpbran, the Ferris Bueller Ferrari came close to making the cut. If we had done 14 or 15 it would have made it in.

    The Bluesmobile is #1. YES!!!

However, I rate "Tommy Boy" with as much hateful passion as you have for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I think the Ghostbuster caddy ambulance/hearse deserved that slot.

You're just jealous of Caractacus Pott's mad skilz with a pipe wrench and welding torch.

Word on the street has it that he blue printed Bond's original submersible Lotus Esprit.

How about the EM-50 van in Stripes? That was a very funny Bill Murray-Harold Ramis comedy.
