In one sense, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is a rolling philosophical contradiction. Its splitter, skirts, obtuse rear wing and massive rubber announce it as a focused performance car. Its convertible top, however, belies those performance flourishes with the not-so-subtle reality of compromised structure. Finding them together in one car is a little like discovering racing slicks on a Conestoga wagon.

    Production numbers from the Corvette Museum indicate that automatics are closer to 50%, not 70% (at least across the C6 model range)

    I don't know what it is about the way you format the road test text, but I have a serious problem with words overlapping throughout, obscuring them. This consistently happens with the road tests, but not at all with the LT test blog posts or longer form articles about the LT cars.

    Isn't this the same driveline/powertrain that is in the Caddy ATS-V that you just tested?
    You didn't mention any complaints about the transmission there. So is it different in the Vette?
