Accord rear bumper scratches and chips

I am in the process of leasing a new car and the accord is high up on my list. Question: I work in an office building and notice that people with Honda accords seem to have a lot of scratches and chips on their rear bumpers. Is there a problem with the car or did I just happen to be viewing cars that might have had problems?
