2008 Cobalt OR 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage

Im trying to figure out what one to get.
2008 Cobalt Sport 63000 miles ($5000)
2015 Mitsubishi Mirage DE Manual 7000 miles ($8700)

What do you guys think would be the best option as a second car for commuting.

    I've been hit too many times to consider anything as small and light as the Mirage. It weighs less than 2,000lbs. The Cobalt is a little under 3,000, and wasn't designed for 3rd world countries. So I'd take the Cobalt. Remember, crash test scores can only be compared between vehicles of similar mass and "bigger car wins." That said, I think you can do better than a 2008 Cobalt.
