    As unlikely as it sounds, the sunshade behaves as though it' opaque. Sure, it allows some heavily filtered light to come down, but I find that it simply plays no discernible role in making the cabin hot, nor does direct overhead sunlight ever bother me because of it. Now, if I slide it out of the way, it's a whole other matter. Whatever this magic sun shield is made of, it is effective.
