    I find it interesting that you guys aren't always able to crack the EPA rating. I'm at 112% of the EPA combined rating in my 2010 Honda Odyssey LX and I am by no means a hypermiler. That average is over the past 16 months with probably 60/40 city/highway.

    My guess is that California gas contains a lot of alcohol and other emission additives that eat into mileage. I have noticed that when driving around the US I get mediocre mileage in the corn belt states and great mileage in the western states where I am driving at higher elevations.
