Canadian: 60,000 km on mine and the lights coming on to service air bag. take it in i'm told module. $550 for part, $300 labor. AND they charged me $144 to tell me that. Second opinion next day was 3 mins to scope it and agree with faulty module....3 mins!!!??? I'll be fighting that. AND I have extended warranty cost me nearly $3k. And they say not covered...safety restraint system. I say BS...electronics. Thanks for having my back and finding a loophole after 3 years owning.

Same story I was told. Amazing that GM will not deal with this issue, when they have known since 2007 there is a problem.
Have the door locks stopped working yet?

Dealerships charge a diagnosis fee of 1 hour regardless of how long it takes to diagnose the vehicle. Technicians do not get paid by the hour they get paid by the job. So regardless of how long it actually took the tech to perform the diagnosis they only get paid 1 hr whether it took 3 minutes or 3 hours they get 1 hr flag time. There is nothing you can legaly fight if you signed for the diagnostic fee they provided the service you askes them to do. As far as the extended warranty company not covering the component that is not the dealership's fault that ia the extended warranty companys issue.  You can call them and fight the decision.
