Have any of you with Gen 2 Prius had problems with the ventilation button and audio not working?

Recently when I have pushed either the audio or ventilation button to change the radio or alter the ventilation, the buttons do not respond. I tried to pull the buttons out, and waited, and tried again. Sometimes this would help, other times it didn't. If I pushed either of them several times this may have activated the button to respond. I have not gone to my local dealer yet to find out if they have seen this problem before. Any help will be appreciated.
