I'm on VW's website and they are offering 1.9% for 72 months but when I inquired at a dealership, they advise their sales price on their site includes a $500 rebate but if I take the 1.9%, they couldn't offer the $500 rebate. Anyone come across this too?

Must be a regional or dealer specific deal - we only show the Special APR financing incentive on Golfs right now.

It is typical that you usually get either the manufacturer rebate or the low interest, but not both. These days the way around that is to bring your own financing to the table. But your local bank or credit union may not go as low at 1.9%.

If you bought a new car instead of used because low rates and/or longer-terms loans kept the monthly payments more affordable, please email PR@edmunds.com by 9/11/15 to connect with a reporter.
