Acceleration issues

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport. I am experiencing acceleration issues. The clutch was replaced approximately 2 yrs ago and the "box"that the clutch is in was replaced a few months ago. I also smell something burning when I accelerate going up hill. I don't know what to do. I have over 106K on the jeep
