BMW of North America is recalling 8,988 vehicles, including the 2014 BMW 328i xDrive Sports Wagon and 2013-'14 BMW X1 sDrive28i and X1 xDrive28i SUV, because of a loss of power brake assist.

    I have a 2012 BMW 528xi, just had my brakes flushed as a routine maintenance, same day tried to stop at a red light at 5mph, crashed into the vehicle in front of me because the brakes were totally non-responsive. BMW claims my car has not been recalled ( b/c it was manufactured in 9/2011)> Took it back to the dealer, BMW USA took 3 weeks to send an expert to examin the brakes and found nothing, told me to call my insurance.
