Achieving 14.7 mpg in a Dodge Viper is pretty pleasing. In a 2015 Nissan Murano, not so much.

    If you are spending lots of time in true city traffic, not just highway jams, but stop light to stop light traffic you can easily get worse mileage than EPA. The city cycle doesn't really mimic true downtown traffic. As an Uber driver I have experienced this personally and seen as low as 11 from my 2002 Saab 9-3 SE with the 2.0 turbo and 4 speed auto (running 93 octane premium or 50/50 premium/89 octane midgrade)
