Coils not sparking

Okay, from the top: I replaced the passenger-side head last week. There was a bit of a fuss to reattach the timing chain for that cam, but the sprocket and keyway got lined up (according to my eyesight) back to TDC. Everything torqued and buttoned up. She turns overs smooth as cream. But... No fire. No ignition spark. So, I'm going to swap position on a ground tomorrow.
So, assuming this action accomplishes nothing, what is the quickest way to determine A) The PCM is working properly or B) I'm off a tick on the timing sprocket position (no booms, crunches, or grinding heard on turn-over, so I'm assuming she's not got a bent valve from being off a notch, if such is the case.)
Did I check ALL the connections, you ask? Unless something snaked behind the block and is hanging back there, the short answer is "You bet your sweet [non-permissible content removed] I did. Repeatedly."
So, any suggestions would help. If the main on is "Get a scanner," trust me, I'm on it. I just hope the sucker pinpoints the problem area immediately.
But with my luck.... ;-)

Thanks for your help, folks!
