Well, typically if you have the money to buy a $100k car, you have the money to buy MANY $100k cars, but if its a theoretical one-car scenario, I'd say it's pretty easy for me. Tesla Model S or X. Rocket-like launch, comfortable and quiet drive, ultra-high-tech, almost no maintenance, plenty of room for the family. You can't do better than that.

New cars are for suckers. Using my local Craigslist I'd get a 2009 Mercedes Benz S550, a 1999 NSX, a 1999 911 and save the last 10gs for parts and maintenance.

I need some noise and passion to go with my performance. Tesla, nope, not for me. I could not do much worse than that. I'd go with a Corvette Stingray, a Miata Club Sport, and 2016 Yamaha XSR700.

I'd go with a C6 Z06, a 2015 Silverado Crew Cab 1500 LTZ with the 6.2, and use the left over money for a Supermoto bike like the Husqvarna.

I'm in the "whatever 911 I could afford" group as that has been my dream car since the late 1970's.

In the "bundle for fun" group: GT350, 2nd gen Nissan 300ZX TT like this one: http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/641881461/overview/, and with the $17k left I'd install the decent stereo Ford refuses to let me have with the track package and spend the rest on track days for both cars.

@bankerdanny : I sure did read their experience that's why I would save that 10k for emergency repairs. I also currently own a '98 S-Class and have had the opposite experience. It's just fantastic and has never let me down going on almost 5 years. I wish so many people didn't like 911s. Even 996s are starting to go up in price now. I don't know if I'll ever be able to afford one, at least one that isn't a complete mess.

If I were to do the one car route, I'd probably pick the F-Type as well. I've seen them and heard them in person and that's enough for me to want one haha. For the 3, I'd get a low low optioned BMW M3 as my 4 door, a base model MX-5 Miata as my 2 door convertible for the annual sunny day we get in Oregon, and whatever 1993-1997 Toyota Land Cruiser I could afford (with the 3 electric locker option)
