2011 Kia Sorento - gear shift problem
I have a 2011 Kia Sorento. The car sometimes jerks into second gear and it is usually when it is cold. I noticed that this happens when the eco light is not on - I am not sure this has anything to do with it. On Thursday I cranked my car up and suddenly it revved up so high and had to turn off the car - I cranked car again and it started this again and then settled to normal but then I could not get my car into drive - I had to force it. Has anyone had this problem. I took it back to dealership for the third time regarding the jerking of changing of gears and told them of the new problem and of course for the third time - they did not see anything wrong. I am happy with my car just want it fixed.

A seasoned Kia mechanic knows about this. Our 2011 Sorrento is being picked up from the dealership this afternoon.
We have been without it on and off for 3 weeks while Kia tried to figure this out.
Finally, a seasoned mechanic happened to be on duty when we were there and stated exactly what was the issue.
We are being charged $2k for replacement (and it must be done at Kia or when the new harness is installed, the computer board has to be reprogrammed by Kia).
