Santa Fe cruise control

Good day
I have a 2007 Hyundai Santa fe 2.2 crdi
The cruse control is not working.
At first I had to press the button a few times
To activate the cruse control

Now it is not working at all.
When you press the on nothing happens.
What can the problem be.

Hello! First thing to check is that the brake light switch is working correctly, if it is, these vehicles are known for the cruise control button pack going bad. $40 to $75 depending on where you order it from. Five minute swap out. This is if it has not been going off after setting for no reason, if so, needs the module checked by dealer service. Good luck.
