Heated seats - standard?

I see that I can get the 'comfort package' and that includes heated and ventilated seats. But are heated (only) seats standard, or does the base model not even give you heated seats?

Looks like you have to pile on the options to get to the comfort package, which makes it an expensive proposition just to get the heated seats I want.

It appears from reading the Edmunds review that heated seats are only available for the 2016 model if you buy one of the packages. It's not a stand-alone option as near as I can tell.

Our review for the 2015 sounds similar, although the fine print says "some of the packages vary by region, so you'll want to check with your local dealer."

    Doesn't sound encouraging.

I've seen some aftermarket kits that look good. And if the dealer installs aftermarket heaters in the seats, the warranty coverage may be pretty good.
