I was thinking of renting a New or CPO car for 2 weeks, to go on a road trip. Do car dealers rent out their New cars or nearly new CPO cars ? What kind of deal would they offer ? Allow out of state driving ?

The van I'm currently driving was rented out for a week shortly before I purchased it, but it wasn't new by any stretch. We forgot about the Oshkosh fly-in one trip to the UP to visit family and wound up renting a car from a Buick dealer in Green Bay when we couldn't find a car available at the rental agencies. It was fine, but it was several years old too. The deal was similar to the rental agencies and driving out of state wasn't an issue.

I think most dealers limit loaners to people getting service and often they have some tie-in with Enterprise or other company.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing soon for a week or so. Limited choices here since our airport doesn't have scheduled air service, but we'll probably wind up using Enterprise.
