Anti Theft problem

Hi
I have a 2003 chevy malibu that I haven't even had for a year yet. It has stopped starting three times in the last 3 months. I'm pretty sure that it's the anti theft system and the computer not recognizing the key and shutting down the engine...problem NOBODY knows how to fix this problem. I've had it to the dealer and they put a chip in the key in late October and car refused to start on Saturday. The anti theft light kept blinking and car wanted to turn over but couldn't. I'm scared to drive this car. I did research and this is NOT a new problem but chevy refuses to acknowledge it! I was told by a non chevy/local mechanic that the anti theft system can't be disconnected because it's electrical and bound to the computer. So what the heck do I do? I'm disabled and I need a reliable car! Some people said to turn the key to the acc for ten minutes then start the car. Tried that and nothing. The last two times I had it towed on a flat bed truck and when the mechanic went to start it the next morning...it started just fine. Am I going crazy? I would not have wasted me two AAA tows on a towing if there wasn't a problem.

Thanks to all who answer.
