Hello

I'm planning to own a suv this holiday season. I'm considering two brands as potential buys and,
Volvo is one of them. I'm currently considering Volvo XC60 T6 AWD preferably platinum trim and at the same time i'm also considering Audi Q5 3.0L Quattro Premium plus

Internet search has made my decision making, harder with varying comments about the reliability of the
suv's i'm considering to own. I thought experts would able to give me exact advice on this issue. I know
Volvo is pioneer in safety and, Volvo XC 60 is the safest out there.

Following are my questions with internet comments in brackets.

1. How reliable is 2016 Volvo XC60? (There were varying comments about the reliability!!)
2. Maintenance costs after warranty period? (Maintenance is very costly!!,)
3. I hear Volvo will have maintenance on them for 5 years? Is it right?
4. I came across oil consumption issues with XC60 vehicles?

I thank you in advance for your help

I think the engine in the AWD is the 6 cyl vs the new T6 2.0 super/turbo in the fwd.Look up drive e. Both will be redesigned soon. 2016 or 2017 my guess. Make sure you get a good discount when buying new. The volvo drives more like a truck than a car vs the Audi q5( In my opinion). Volvo has 3 years or up to 36,000 miles. warranty and the 1st 3 scheduled maintenance free. I think Audi has the 1st.

Incorrect, Volvo has 4yr/50000 warranty. Starting in 2017 Volvo will switch complete line to the Drive-E 4cyl motors. I own a 2013 T6 XC RD, fantastic and no it does not drive like a truck.
