Crank Positioning Sensor

I've had to replace this sensor twice since July (also replaced camshaft positioning sensor in July). The vehicle would stall at the worst times. Now after a week with a new crank sensor it is showing symptoms again. The vehicle acts like it needs a tune up. It shifts poorly and RPMs rev. over time ( a week or two) it will eventually stall but a restart is possible. (the last time this happened, I was almost rear ended on a major hwy!)

Any ideas!
