Turn signal switch gone crazy

Last nite adjusted headlights to hi beam (pulling lever toward steering wheel) as a quick "look see" for a deer ..... All heck broke loose....main headlights and tail lights starting to flash and horn blowing in a style typical of an an alarm system; I DO NOT HAVE AN ALARM SYSTEM. I DISCONNECTED THE MAIN BATTERY TERMINAL AS AN ONLY OPTION. what to do.
