2016 HONDA CR-V EX-L AWD NAVI-

MSRP 31,975
TMV 30,569
Invoice 30,063

Negotiated 28,500 including $880 Destination Fee.

That was 10 days ago. Could probably do better now due to holiday weekend and approach of end of month.
Got the price from 2 or 3 Baltimore dealers, 2 of whom I have worked with recently on other deals. I had to step on toes and speak with multiple people at each dealership in order to achieve this price.

Unfortunately, the friends for whom I negotiated this price got cold feet when informed about the vibration problem on the 2015 model. I've yet to find any credible information indicating that the problem has been ameliorated.

I also located private financing as low as 1.74% for up to 60 months that is available to anyone with excellent credit. (Honda is offering no incentivized financing on these particular vehicles.)

    Congrats!

See this post by @rhody401 linking to an official Honda video statement about the vibe "fix".

Thank you. I checked out the video. It does seem to indicate that the problem has been successfully addressed. The only issue now is whether to rely on that. I'll conduct some further due dilligence.

I monitor several CRV forums and havent heard of a single person with a 2016 that has the vibration issue. I have 2 2015 tourings that I purchased 4 weeks ago, and they are also fine. (same car, basically)

The video seems to say that the fixes were already applied for the 2016 units.

    Congratulations!!!!

    Thank you!

I also found this post re: a workaround for the vibe problem:

“if anyone has one and is looking for a fix to the vibration to their car, I actually found something out that works. First, and this is pretty commonly known, the vibration does not occur when the A/C is on. The vibration also does not occur when the car is idling in any gear besides drive. Here is the weird thing I figured out, which I am not sure if people have discovered before (and may not work on all cars). If you turn your headlights on to the high setting (but not high beams), the vibration does not occur. If you turn your headlights on to the high setting, and then turn the knob down to your day headlights, the vibration will not occur while driving, either. If you turn your lights directly from off to day headlights, the vibration will still occur though.

This probably sounds really confusing, but it was really helpful for me.”

My understanding of the issue that SOME 2015's had: If there is no power draw, it idles lower at a red light (about 500-550). that's where the "mode 1" happens, while in drive and drawing no power. If the alternate has a load, it makes the engine idle faster and avoids the issue. That's just for mode 1, though. There are 3 modes of the issue.

If i turn off the climate control, the radio, the lights, my cell phone charger, I can sometimes get a very slight vibration at a red light if i can get the RPMS down that low. But it's minor/quite normal in my case, and I'll never have those conditions met regularly. There is a whole thread about it.
