Is It Possible To Scramble Gears?
Help! I majorly messed up my father-in-laws truck. I'm not much of a car guy... but my father-in-law asked me to change the oil and having change my CRV and Legacy I didn't think much of it. Well I got under the truck and unscrewed the first plug I saw let it drain and continued on with the oil change like normal. Well after driving probably 20 miles or more I notice some odd shaking at lights and odd noises. I pulled into the bank like I planned and after I put it in reverse and hit the gas it moves forward instead... I start freaking out and drive to my wife's work to borrow her can and look up what I did. It turns out I emptied the and drove some freaking many miles with nothing in there. I have since refilled it... but did I kill it if I still can reverse and even in Neutral it's to go forward? Actually, reverse seems like it's fighting with its self between drive and reverse. Is this something I can hope to fix on my own by just pushing the truck backwards or something?
