I set it to odometer but it keeps going back and forth between "features can be changed in park" then back to odometer. Sometimes when I restart it shows other messages.. It's distracting going back and forth as you drive down the road.

    It's likely that one of the buttons is sticking and randomly making contact. The button inputs can be monitored with a full function scan tool, like the GM TechII, or the GDS2.
