Back in 2006, my wife and I bought my parents a 36 or 42" inch LCD TV. I wasn't thinking things through when I went to the store to get it. After paying for it, I went to load it in my daily driver, a 2000 Kia Sephia. I tried every angle I could to get that box into the car. The trunk was absolutely NOT an option. Too wide and too deep to put it there. The width wasn't a problem (as much) in the back seat, but the height definitely was. I ended up taking the TV out of the box, loading the TV in the backseat, folding the box, loading it in the trunk. Then when I got to my house, I put the box back together, then put the TV & Styrofoam packaging back in place to wrap it.
