Various mysterious issues - no dealer resolutions

I've had my base model Lacrosse since last April. about 16k miles currently. I've experienced a few issues that the dealership usually just takes in, examines, finds nothing duplicating my issues and returns it to me either with "we can't duplicate it," or "we changed this or that component." The component change hasn't made any difference in my experience.

The first issue started with my headlight switch in AUTO and my dash lights at night and in daytime being inconsistent. To explain...I learned that when driving at night I prefer the dash lights to be dimmed to their lowest setting. I manually do that and all is good. In the morning when pull out of my garage into bright sun, the dash lights would automatically brighten. I was told that is normal. So I didn't have to manually adjust the dash lights anymore. The issue began when after a 4-6 months, the dash lights were still dimmed at night, as I prefer but when leaving my garage in the mornings the dash lights became intermittent - brightening back so I could see the dash lights in daylight/sunshine. They sometimes would brighten up as soon as I pulled out of the garage. On some days, they would brighten up after driving down the street a few hundred yards and some days they wouldn't automatically brighten up till I drove 3-5 miles down the road. I live in Northern Colorado where we get plenty of sunshine.

The dealer changed some computer component and the little sensor on the front dash. It hasn't made a difference.

Another issue that happens randomly is while driving at any given time the chime sounds. The same chime sound if one forgets to buckle their seatbelt or if a door is ajar. This has happened at least 6-7 times in the last few months. Twice in one drive, two times. The chime is ringing and there is no indication on the dash that anything is wrong. No light (like the door ajar, or seatbelt not connected) - no indication. As mentioned on two occasions, the chime rang rang twice while on a drive. The doors were all closed. My seatbelt was connected. I have a tissue box and my phone on the passenger seat and maybe a little bag as well, but none of those items on the passenger seat are more than .5lb to 1lb total at any given time.

I brought the car in at least two or three times for the chime issue. Last week they decided to change a module related to the parking brake they thought could be the origin of this issue. WE'LL SEE!

FAST FORWARD...

A couple of days ago, at night, I was driving and had a half tank of gas. The Yellow Gas Pump icon came on for a couple of seconds on the dash. I then next opened my glove box and the light did not come on. I then opened the console between the two front seat and the was not on.

I just picked the car up after bringing it in for these issues. Of course, they could not duplicate the issue, thus no resolution.

I realize there are many parts making up the car...all the computer controlled items and such but GM doesn't seem to know, thus the dealer doesn't know why these things happen.

Nothings changed!

I have experienced your second issue, the random chime. I have a 2013 LaCrosse, and I get the same thing when I have my Verizon iPhone 6s Plus on the passenger seat and plugged in. In my LaCrosse, the indication is that the passenger airbag is turned off, with the warning light on the console near the gearshift. It only happens when I have that phone (not my iPhone 5), so I'm thinking there may be something funky with the sensors used in the seat and the phone's signal. The same thing happened in my 2005 Honda Accord. I've never had a problem with people in that seat that would be a safety concern. Next time it happens, move the phone somewhere else and see if it stops.
