Range miles decreased

Does anyone else have the experience of their range mile decreasing after you get your car serviced?
Each time my range has dropped after my car has been serviced. They tell me the computer in the car knows how I drive, but If I don't get it serviced I would still have 358 miles to a tank of gas. Today I fill up and only got 286 miles to a tank of gas, before I had it serviced on 1/22, I was getting 291miles to a tank of gas.
Is there a problem with my car or is the service people adjusting the range?
Really need to know

    First, start keeping track of both the miles and the gallons for each tank, and calculate the miles per gallon. Second, if this happened as winter came on it could just be the cold weather.
