New TL in the parking lot. Still looks kinda weird.
More Ford Flexes. I don't care for them that much.

I saw an Audi R8 on a congested road, much more angular than I thought it would be. I was afraid for the guy,way too much too lose in that kind of traffic.
Stormy Blue Mica, hard top, Touring with the suspension package.
Basically the sportiest Miata you can get - 6 speed manual, Bilstein shocks, uprated springs, fatter roll bar (PRHT's front anti-roll bar is bigger than the soft top's), Torsen limited-slip rear differential, summer tires on upsized 17" rims.
It's swee-eeeeet. :shades:
I took a look at it during lunch and the exterior is too extreme to go with the base wheels and tires. I think the Type S trim works better here. The interior is fantastic though, and a definite upgrade over the outgoing model. The seats, the ergonomics, the drivers view is excellent. The only thing I don't like about it is the rear view is tricky with the raised boattail, and the long nose which is tough to judge. I'm not toally enamoured with it, but I don't find it offensive. Once the Type-S AWD, 6-spd comes out, I'll definitely take a more serious look at it.
Also, the Venza seems to be selling very well around here, and based on this link, it satnds as the #3 "mover".

It's a good sign that so many higher priced vehicles are popular, maybe it's a good sign for the economy.

Funny, I just spotted one for the first time here at work this morning in the parking lot. Red. The retractable hardtop gives it an interesting/distinctive look.

ELGIN, Ill. - He freely admitted that his dream car is a red Nissan Altima with a push-button ignition. A 21-year-old man was charged Monday with burglary and attempted theft for allegedly trying to steal one from a Nissan auto dealership. Police said the man saw the car on the showroom floor around midnight on Sunday.
Police said he broke in and started the car, but couldn't find a way to get it out of the building. Police said he then broke a showroom window, but was unable to maneuver the auto out the building.
He was discovered a short time later by police, who arrested him

Speaking of which, I saw a Tiguan at White Flint Mall on Saturday.
Those things look sooooo small. Our Forester dwarfs it.
I saw a GLK yesterday. The baby SUV fad is booming. Beats roadways full of Excursions and Yukon XLs anyway.
It's not often I say this but there's a vehicle that actually looks worse in person.
Very odd proportions. It has a big greenhouse yet it's stubby, sort of like a short guy with a big head.
I have yet to see the new Volvo but I actually look forward to it, as those are attractive.
I've seen the volvo a couple times...inoffensive.
Ford: If the Fiesta and the Transit van are previews to what's coming soon from Ford, the company should fare really well through these times.
Saab: Some ok products, but most are long in the tooth like the 9-5. The 9-7X, although I don't recall seeing one there, it's still in thier brochures. I'd drop it as it's based on an outdated model (old Trailblazer) noteven sold by GM anymore.
Sitting in the MB S Class: The centre screen on the dash, that looks in photos like it blocks the view ahead, is not that obtrusive in real life.
Volvo XC60 wood/leather steering wheel still looks like a $5 aftermarket cover.
Mazda3 mouth: Looks better in real life than in pics, but still too big for my tastes.
Kia Soul: pretty funky for an entry level car.
Nissan Cube: Funky looking too outside but plain compact car look inside.
Nissan Versa sedan bottom feeder: I agree with Fintail, the shape looks like a Dacia Logan, especially with the cheap outside trim, and no radio or a/c. But for $12495 CDN what can you expect?
Hyundai Genesis: still love the looks, and price wise it's a bargain to german luxury cars of same size (5 series, E class).
Mistu Lancer Sportback: loaded with every option priced at $39495. Nuff said :surprise:
Camaro: ok, small athletic looking, but not a head turner in my opinion.
Spyker: cool and different. First time I have seen one.
Acura TL: That plastic metallic trim outside will look like crap after it wears out from use and weather. Very odd shapes and proportions and grille. What were they thinking.
Infiniti FX: I dont like the front end looks. Weird.

Is that funky in a good way or bad?
Something funky about the Soul I noticed is that there is an interior trim that has "Soul Soul Soul" printed over and over on the seats. A friend of mine has some Camaro promotional material from around 1983, and it had a seating option that said "Camaro Camaro Camaro" over and over on the seats. So, that's what came to mind when I saw the Kia.
And speaking of the Camaro, I have to say I sensed a slight rattle when closing the door with the window down. I didn't notice this in other frameless doors. It's really a retro car then!
The Fiesta and Transit vans were pretty cool. The NA market dearly needs the cool Euro material.
The weird rear window dip on the Genesis coupe isn't nearly as annoying in person as it is in photos. But, that non-metallic red the loaded model was in is a bad choice.
It's good to see that MB hasn't lost any appeal compared to the rest.
And I have to agree about the TL....it's just such a disjointed design. And what gets me the most is that I see them now and then, so someone is buying them.
Oh, yeah, forgot one more... the MB GLK. Still not so nice in real life. Looks like a Mercedes version of the first gen Subaru Forester, as someone pointed out on Edmunds I think,

I need to go on their websites and order a bunch for the manufacturers that didn't have any. Now that they're made to order, there's gonna be even fewer of them meaning my gigatic collection should fetch a few bucks in about 10-20 years, if like I mentioned to you at the show, I won't have to use them for a fire to keep me warm during post nuclear war. :P

As automakers are going "green" (read: cheap) and printing less brochures these days, modern literature will probably be less common than older material. You're paying virtually nothing for your collection...so there are certainly worse ways to spend a little time.
Be sure to get one for that Dacia Logan Nissan, too :shades:

I can't think of another shop like that for at least 1000 miles around here, so they might actually be in good shape.
Also saw a new style A4 - driven by a woman camping out in the middle lane of a major freeway at 10 under the flow of traffic as she was busy eating

Both seem so small, impractical. Like tall hatchbacks instead of utility vehicles.
That's exactly what they are, hatchbacks for the image obsessed.
I bet a Mini Cooper Clubman has more space.
hmmm... not sure how I should feel about myself after that comment.
I like them. My G35X with a bit more utility is pretty appealing to me.

I guess if you don't often use the back seat and it's not a priority, that may not be a big deal.
For me, though, I guess I like small/light cars, so I'd want a compact vehicle like that to be lighter and smaller.
