    The term SUV has lost it's meaning not of these are much more than glorified station wagons. and as for third seating they are not meant for adults.
    I expect an SUV to haul people in comfort not cramped and be able to tow at the same time. that where the UV comes in. just because the car companies don't want to call these station wagons does make them anything else.

    I don't expect an SUV to be able to haul people in comfort... I just expect them to be able to run over stuff and/or tow heavy loads. If it can't tow like a pickup or rock crawl it's a crossover/MUV/glorified minivan. That said if I bought one I'd get the glorified minivan. I don't own a boat and I live in Chicago, so for me "utility" means Home Depot runs.
