We bought my 2011 Chevy Equinox in May of 2011. I have really enjoyed the vehicle overall. It hasn't given me any major problems, but now, I'm over it. April of 2015 my A/C wasn't working so I took it to the dealership and was told I had a leak in the A/C line. My warranty had recently expired and I didn't receive anything from GM/Chevy to extend so I had to pay approximately $450 for the repair. Here we are 10 months later and once again I have no A/C. Last years repair came with a 1 year warranty. I took it back to the dealership today and now I'm told my compressor needs replacing with a price tag of $963 plus tax. According to other online forums, this is a common problem with 2010 and 2011 Equinox yet I don't see GM/Chevy issuing a recall. It has to be faulty equipment with these models. Disappointment is an understatement. Not a happy customer at all right now and not in a position to pay this either.
