Sounds good. I'm assuming you're referring to the sedan and not the hatch, although the numbers look similar.

Our Build & Price page shows invoice of $20,517, MSRP of $21,605 and TMV is coming in nicely below invoice at $19,918.

And there's currently a $1,500 incentive making the "average" price $18,418. So yeah, $16,900 sounds good.

All my numbers are without options and include the $850 destination. When you build your own, the TMV number may vary since it's adjusted for zip code. Incentives are usually national.

Well, it's a good upfront price. Kia's don't hold their resale value all that well though. You can get a rough idea of what to expect by looking at the True Cost to Own numbers and comparing the Rio to other brands.

Don't get me wrong, I'm shopping a Soul pretty hard and like the brand. But I keep cars for a long time so resale doesn't concern me so much.

You'd be looking at a $3,500 depreciation hit if you sold it in one year. But that would be $3,500 off a cash price close to $20,000 so your savings up front would mitigate a good chunk of that.

I really like this car, it is a second car and a temp car for me, it will not be driven a lot, maybe 100 miles a month.  I am disabled, but need a vehicle to get around but if I find out later like in a few months or a year I want to be able to sell it and not lose too much.
