Our Build & Price page shows invoice of $20,517, MSRP of $21,605 and TMV is coming in nicely below invoice at $19,918.
And there's currently a $1,500 incentive making the "average" price $18,418. So yeah, $16,900 sounds good.
All my numbers are without options and include the $850 destination. When you build your own, the TMV number may vary since it's adjusted for zip code. Incentives are usually national.1 -

Don't get me wrong, I'm shopping a Soul pretty hard and like the brand. But I keep cars for a long time so resale doesn't concern me so much.
You'd be looking at a $3,500 depreciation hit if you sold it in one year. But that would be $3,500 off a cash price close to $20,000 so your savings up front would mitigate a good chunk of that.1
