Engine surging

I have a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with a 6.0 Vortec engine. When the vehicle is warm/hot the engine will surge and low idle or pulse when in drive or reverse. The engine has plenty of pick up and starts fine. I have replaced the Idle sensor, however the pulsing still continues. There also are no codes being registered. Anyone have any ideas on my problem?
