2015 Charger - rear view mirror

I have three questions about my rear view mirror, if anyone minds answering...

Here is my rear view mirror:



1. What are those 'knobs' at the top of my mirror? Do they serve any purpose?
2. Why does it have a cable running to it? I see no buttons to control anything on it.
3. Whose that goofy kid in my mirror?!

i dont see a picture posted, maybe you deleted, but i think the knobs youre referring to are actually microphone for the bluetooth. the cable i would assume is therefore an audio and/or power cable for the mic.
