When do I change timing belt. I have a 1994 Tracker with 93,000 miles, many towed. Mechanic says I should change now, before anything happens to belt. Any history on timing belts?

Its good to change every 60k-100k miles. I aim at 60k because if this breaks it can wreak havoc like nothing else.
