Truck will not start

my truck just began not starting. Its has power till I put on my brake to start it....its a manual then it loses all power like the battery is dead. Take my foot off brake and power returns. There is a click sound behind glove box when I put the brake on and can continue even with key out of ignition. Anyone know what is wrong?
