Are you a current or recent car shopper who bought an EV and then installed solar – or who had solar already, making the decision to go electric easier?
OR
Are you a recent EV buyer (past 3 months) as a result of manufacturer incentives and dealer discounts on these vehicles, including year-end deals? Were you convinced to buy an EV after finding a good end-of-year deal, or due to uncertainty around which EVs will no longer qualify for full/partial EV tax credits in 2024? NOTHING Happens When Trying to Start?

edited April 2016 in Saturn
Bought myself a 2003 Saturn L300 back in late 2014, ran like a charm until around August / September 2015. In September it didn't seem like anything too serious, the car would have a rough startup, would either get lucky and it would start on the first two tries.. or I would have to keep the key in the "Run" position for 5-ish minutes and then start it up to work. Friend told me to replace the fuel injector - did, next he told me something about the key sensor - got that replaced too. Worked fine for a few months. January came around and same issues, just a harder start. Would have to either let the vehicle sit or continue to turn it from "Off" to "Start" until it started. That lasted until April 1; on April 1 my car ALMOST started, but then the lights dimmed.. (dashboard), then when I turned it to "Run" the lights (dashboard) would flicker quickly. Then powerlocks went out, after a while NOTHING happened when I put my key in the ignition. Any ideas what is could be? 296k miles. ;) Tried jumpstarting, nothing.

Any ideas? Well at nearly 300,000 miles, it may have just died of old age.

Seriously, you need to have someone who knows what they are doing take a look. It could be a number of things. In any event, I wouldn't spend a lot of money on it.
