    It looks like about half your trip will be, "This is so awesome in a sporty convertible!" and half of it will be, "Oh, lord, I can't wait until teleporters becomes real."

    Might I suggest taking highway 33 to Lockwood Valley Rd. to Cuddy Valley Rd to 166 then to 99.

    I forgot to add: I'm speaking from direct personal experience. I've driven literally every inch of your route, except probably for the last mile on each end. Have fun where you can!
