Costco Auto Buying

Has anyone used the Costco auto buying service? How does it work? Recommend using it?

    Buying services (like Edmunds' Price Promise) take a lot of the hassle away. You often can get a bit of a better deal yourself but you have to work at it a bit harder.

    We have a friend down visiting this weekend in her Prius. She called Costco about using their program when she got it last year and the CSR told her that because of her timing (near the model change-over), she would do better going to the dealer on her own than using the Costco deal. Sounded like good customer service to me.

    Any "program" buyers out there?
