    Balancing the tires doesn't mesh as a fix for a tire lead issue, unless of course the wheels were not put back onto the same locations on the car. Road force balancing does produce a much smoother ride than balancing alone, but it would not change a tires tendency to develop a lead.

    ^ Amazing to see Pat Goss and the entire Motorweek crew still out there plugging away. I watched this show as a kid in the 80's, and they've barely changed.

    Sounds like a gyroscopic effect.

    Were the tires mounted back in their original locations? I'd still bet the left side tires were slightly larger in diameter. Your out-of balance condition may have caused it via uneven wear on the left vs right.
