Which minivan would be a wise purchase?

Our family is looking to upgrade to a minivan. We have a tight budget, but I also don't want something that will fizzle out shortly after purchasing. We have a Honda CRV, and I would be trading in my 2009 70k mile Chevy Impala. In our budget I've found a 100k mile Honda Odyssey and several 65k+ mile Dodge Grand Caravans. Are any of these cars a wise decision? I'd lean towards the Honda due to perceived reliability, but are they very reliable beyond 100k miles? Any suggestions?

I've had two Dodges and a Nissan Quest. My brother has had two Odysseys.

The only one that has stranded any of us was the Nissan, but that was mostly because I insisted on driving a car to 200,000 miles (my wife is very patient :) ).

My current ride is a used '09 Grand Caravan that's pushing around 162,000 miles (got it 2 years ago with 125k). It's been reliable - one brake fix in back and a battery last month. My sister-in-law with the '13 Odyssey is jealous of our power doors but hers drives "tighter". It's a good bit newer though.

Since you've had good luck with Hondas, you'd probably be happiest sticking with them.

170,000 miles is about the sweet spot to dump cars (I'm just about there....).

With any used car, it's cheap insurance to get a pre-purchase inspection.

Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna. Rest is a pure gamble :)
