Help! My Ford Freestar died while driving!

My 2005 Freestar cut out while driving, battery is fine, display read "check traction control". Repair shop replaced a fuse that was blown, but ecm would not let them pull any codes. Shot power to the starter, and it turned over but will not start. Don't have money to tow to a Ford dealership and pay for expensive repair it may or may not need.....any ideas?
