Rear deck rust issue

Just purchased a 1993 Suburban K2500 with 153,000 miles. One of the problems that this vehicle has is the rear deck directly behind the wheel wells is rusted out. The seller mentioned that there are kits to repair this problem, as it is (supposedly) a common issue. Unfortunately, Google has not found anything for me.
Are there such easy repair solutions available? Is this a common issue? I am NOT any good at body or metal work, so if there isn't a user friendly solution, i am looking at a body shop for this problem.
