Truck keeps cutting off.

Hey Folks!
I have a 2001ford expedition. First it was cutting off only when gas got to 1/4 of tank. But now it doing it at 3/4 of an tank. As the hand gets lower worst it gets. But only shuts down if you slow down and press the brake. Today I jumped a train track just to see what it did. It did shut down. So now thinking maybe a electric problem. Maybe wire grounding some where. But wanted to see if any of you ran in to this. It runs good and no skipping trans seem to be OK also. Thanks for any ideas.
