Explorer vs. Edge

I test drove a 2016 Edge Titanium. I loved it and it's at the top of my short list for when my A4 lease expires conveniently just after Labor Day.
I'm now configuring Explorer XLTs online and the prices for nicely loaded ones are very similar to Edge Titaniums. I don't really need the third row of seats however the extra cargo room might come in handy now and then (after too many stuffed trunk experiences in the A4 I'm focused on SUVS / crossover cars).
Does anyone have an Edge vs. Explorer decision experience to share? What swayed you one way vs. the other? Thanks in advance!
