2016 CRV -rough idle, intermittent no power when in reverse
We have been experiencing our new Honda CRV having a very rough idle. We will experience it when starting the car, and intermittently while driving around town. Twice we have placed the car in reverse, and had little to no power while backing up, while the engine makes a coughing sound.
We took the vehicle to the dealer, and had them look at it. The Service Adviser told us verbally that they could no recreate the problem, and to bring it back in when it occurs again. We asked if someone could ride with us, and the Service Manager went for a ride in the car, we stopped the car after going 50 feet, and the car was idling very rough. He said he could feel the car idling rough but that is how CRV's idle. The car then started idling rougher and he said well the car is still in the "break in phase" and there is no current remedy for the rough idling. I asked him to put it in writing that he felt the rough idling and he said he would only put "it idles normally."
How should we proceed?

If they still stonewall you, open a case with Honda. And maybe write up some service reviews.
