acceleration difference in full time vs part time 4x4

I have a 2007 V8 limited 4 runner I'm looking to replace. I found the new 2016 V6 only option doesn't come close to the same acceleration as my 2007. I was however test driving a full time 4 wheel drive limited model. Would anyone be able to tell me if a part time 4 wheel drive model, like the trail premium, have better acceleration then the full time?
