electrical wires

Chipmunks chewed thru about 12 wires in the engine compartment and a vacuum tube. I've spliced them together and the started turns but the engine does not start. any advice on where to look to figure out what is still crossed?

When something similar happened to my sister a few years ago, she called her insurance company and they paid for the (expensive) fix.

This site has free wiring diagrams if you need one of those - bbbind.com. AutoZone does too.
